So Jung Han attended the CLC for three years, from the fall of '96 when she had just turned three to the spring of '99, while her father was completing his Ph.D. at CU Boulder. So Jung Han and her family are from South Korea. Barb Roscoe, who supplied this story, reports that during the time So Jung was in the CLC, the family made close ties to CLC staff and continued to correspond after they returned to South Korea. In March, her father contacted Barb to see if they could visit the CLC and former teachers while on a trip to Boulder. This was the second reunion with the Han family since their return to South Korea. (continued)

On April 7, 2008, So Jung, now 15, came to the CLC with her mother Chung Hee, her father Seung Heon, and her younger brother. Several former teachers or providers were excited to participate in the reunion with So Jung and her family. Providers in the photo include (L to R) Krista (Huley) Ingle (former grad student who worked with So Jung and family); Janine Randall, SLP supervisor; Mara Kuczun, classroom teacher; and Barb Roscoe, CLC Director. The little boy in the first photo with So Jung is Krista Ingall's older son, James.

Barb related that "It was wonderful to see So Jung's eyes light up when she recognized things from her preschool days--photos of her along with classmates on the wall outside of the CLC, the CLC classroom, a photo of her with Tansy, our therapy dog, with whom she had a special connection, and a copy of her favorite book Yo, Yes".
The family is currently in Seattle for one year and then will return to South Korea.
